The Ferrari 599 GTO is third Ferrari in its history to be blessed with the Gran Turismo Omologato name tag, the first the great 250 GTO (1962), the second the 288 GTO (1984). It comes then with some pressures, the first two were defined by there performance figures and built for racing. The 599 GTO then comes from some great stock, but how does it stack up. Well, Ferrari maintain that the car was developed on the back of the 599XX project the non road legal ‘gentleman’s’ racer.
The 599 GTO produces 661 bhp from its 6 litre V12, which is up from 612 on the original 599 GTB. The car has also shed a few pounds, with help from a new aluminium intake system and an impressive sounding hydroformed exhaust system, totalling around 100kg saved on the GTB. This all helps to push the car to a top speed of 208 MPH and a 0-62mph time of 3.4 seconds. It also circles the track at Ferrari in Modena, more than a second faster than any other (road going) Ferrari.
Impressive stuff! The first cars, were delivered to UK customers around June of 2011 with all the very limited run, sold out before production. We were able to sell one 599 GTO initially, to a UK customer and have since brokered a deal on a European LHD Ferrari 599 GTO.
We have available today, a number of cars including a very lovely Yellow Ferrari 599 GTO for sale, the car has covered only 590 miles from new and has a black roof with matching black wheels. The 599 GTO for sale has a lovely specification and would had a UK list price of £360,000
This car is NOW SOLD!
