The new Ferrari 458 Spider is starting to hit the streets and as normal we have access to some very early cars. As you would expect the first cars are changing hands for premium’s, you can expect to pay around 35k Euro for a physical LHD car and around £25,000 GBP for a Summer 2012 UK RHD car.
We can offer for sale a number of options for delivery in 2012 as well as a lovely pearlescent yellow car similar to the one scene driven by Alonso in Ferrari’s press intro to the car last month (to watch the video, follow this link Alonso driving a 458 Spider)
The 458 Spider will be slower than the 458 coupe round a track, due to the addition of 50kg to give the extra support the chassis needs. However with the charming looks and the added exposure to that lovely V8, 458 coupe sales are bound to slump. Despite the 50kg increase the car still manages to get to 62mph in 3.4 seconds, taking just 0.1 seconds more than the 458 Italia, and onwards to a top speed of 198mph. The 458 Spider costs just under £200,000 around £20k more than the Coupe, but I would personally rather have the Spider.
